GMUFA Annual General Meeting
It is crucial that as many MacEwan University Sessional Faculty (MUSF) as possible attend the Grant MacEwan University Faculty Association (GMUFA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) this year.
Tuesday, May 15, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Santa Maria Goretti Centre
11050 – 90 Street NW
(across from the Commonwealth Stadium)
While the official agenda, along with supporting materials, won’t be uploaded to the Member’s Vault until a week prior to the AGM, the GMUFA has already indicated that important matters will be discussed: the GMUFA Bylaws, the Strike and Lockout Principles, the Election Protocols, and the Negotiation Proposals. An increase in membership dues may also be voted on.
All of these matters significantly affect MUSF. The AGM in the past has been poorly attended by MUSF, but because so much is at stake for MUSF this year, MUSSC strongly urges MUSF to do their very best to attend the AGM. The AGM will also provide a great opportunity for all attendees to meet the newly-elected GMUFA Board Sessional Faculty Representatives, who begin their term of service on the GMUFA Board the very next day.
The “elephant in the institution” must make itself visible at the AGM!
Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP by May 1. To do so, look for the link and password in the email from the GMUFA with the subject line “REMINDER Notice of GMUFA Annual General Meeting 2018.” (This email was sent by the GMUFA on Friday, April 20.)
